Hafocere Designs

I’m Steff. I’m a 21 year old Graphic Desiger based in South Wales, but willing to travel for work. I have just completed a BA (Hons) in Graphic Design at the University of Wales, Newport, finishing with a 2.1. As well as a strong passion for graphic design I also have a background in photography and art which I incorporate into my design work where ever possible.

I’ve learned a lot about design during my time at Newport, including how to screen print, make grids and the importance of white space. But the area in which I have learned the most revolves around the realm of Typography! Recently I found one of the initial posters I created in first year and was dismayed to discover I had used Times New Roman for the type. This was suppose to be a piece of design not an English essay! Thankfully I’ve acquired a few new typefaces since then.

I have also become more conscious of the environment during my time at university, but I guess most people have over the last three years. I think it’s important to try and incorporate sustainability in my design practice, there’s only one planet and such.
